My Top 10 Favorite WordPress Plugins

Here are some of the 100% free plugins I use in most of WordPress sites:

Yoast SEO

Excellent SEO plugin, with (almost) everything you will need. Be sure to keep it updated as SEO is an ever-changing thing. (link)

W3 Total Cache

Speeds up your site. Good for large content sites. Smaller sites may not need this plugin but it doesn’t hurt to have it anyway (link)

Contact Form 7

Create simple contact forms, the ipso-facto best form creator for WordPress. This is a must have for every website. (link)

Contact Form to Database

Save all contact form submissions to database (so nothing gets lost). Really handy if you want to save and track form submissions (link)

Akismet

You can’t live without this these days if you want to allow comments on your website. This plugin cleans 99% of spam comments (link)

 

Wordfence Security

I still can’t believe they give this away for free. With just this one plugin installed you’ll have extra security for your site to thwart most hack attempts. This also is a must have for every WordPress website. (link)

Pretty Link Lite

Add website redirects, cloaked links and track clicks. An affiliate marketing must have plugin. (link)

WP Offload S3 Lite

Depending on how tidy you want to keep your hosting account this plugin is handy to have. It stores the images on your site in an Amazon S3 bucket. Save space and bandwidth. (link)

Updraft Plus

Of all the free backup and restore solutions this is the best. It will automatically (and/or manually) create a backup of your site (link)

Google Analytics Dashboard for WP

Add Google Analytics tracking. Simple enough it does what it says on the tin. Tracking is a must for all websites WordPress or not. (link)
